Unfortunately I got some trouble with my camera so this is the only photo I got from Coober Pedy. Have you seen Mel Gibson as "Mad Max"? They shot "Beyond Thunderdome" in the Coober Pedy surroundings, that will give you an idea of the scenery... Anyway, there are about 5000 people, 55 different nationalities represented, in this town. Most of them live underground and this is just an ordinary bedroom... And what are they doing there, in the middle of nowhere?! Opals is the answer...
